Audrey Peng I remember when I was five years old Accidentally fell down a rabbit hole Along the way I saw some bottles Reading “Don’t drink me” on them So like a kid I took a sip of it And I started to shrink But my vision went hazy, oh yeah Because it wasn’t a normal drink, where I’m at It’s Wonderland at the drop of a hat Oh my God, my luck ain’t so bad From the colorful fields to the seven seas Boys and girls, this is 365 stories 365 stories that I can say One story for every single day Yes, I know about leap years But I don’t care about them, okay? From the dreams I had to the real world fantasies They’re all from when I was a kid and still had ecstasies About simple things like a pile of leaves in the air The wind, the breeze blowing through my hair Used to be pretty fearless, nothing made me scared Man I’d miss those times, if I do recall correctly Boys and girls, this is 365 stories. I remember when I was six years old The memory is bright, vivid and bold Gotta remember what I’ve been told Don’t talk to strangers, never take the chance, kid But hey it’s a princess, so that’s an exception Went in a carriage and visited a ball The decor, the flare, the food and the halls Nope I don’t want to leave this place at all What I dreamt of was what I wanted to see Boys and girls, this is 365 stories The third story I can tell you is when I was seven and a half Might’ve been reckless and careless, oftentimes I snapped But what do you expect from someone who nearly got beheaded? The Queen of Hearts doesn’t take a liking to small kids at her wedding “Off with her head” and a small swipe of her hands But I escaped by fleeing away with the marching band So, haha, Miss Hearts, take that, I survived! No one’s taking my head for as long as I’m alive But I guess you can behead me when I die Boys and girls, this is a chance, this is a dream Your childlike innocence is what makes me beam Cherish it forever no matter your age Wonderland could be real or it could be fake like a myth you’ve seen The rabbit hole could be one-way or you could just cross the street But either way remain with a smile and it’ll be worthwhile Remain happy and innocent for as long as you please Because, boys and girls, this has been 365 stories |
